Miramontes
Isabel MIRAMONTES
est née en 1957 à Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, en Espagne. Ce haut lieu de pèlerinage, d’origine celtique, la fascine et reste pour elle un endroit magique. Mais c’est en Belgique, à Bruxelles, que l’artiste grandit et fait ses études: elle obtient un régendat en Arts Plastiques à l’institut Ste Marie. Elle poursuit sa formation à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de St Gilles, dans l’atelier de Patrick Pouillart. Elle acquiert une solide expérience du dessin et du croquis sur modèle vivant.
Miramontes garde de cette expérience le besoin de fixer à tout moment la gestuelle de l’homme, attitudes et impressions jetées sur de multiples cahiers de croquis. Autant de témoignages du regard subtil et perspicace qu’elle promène autour d’elle. L’Artiste suit également les cours de l’historien d’art Gastón Fernandez qui marque sa réflexion artistique. Rigoureuse mais généreuse, toujours animée d’une grande ouverture d’esprit. C’est dans l’atelier de Jacob Hasbún qu’elle découvre avec passion la sculpture qui devient la voie d’expression privilégiée à laquelle elle se consacre désormais.
Elle crée des pièces en bronze à la patine chaleureuse. Ses œuvres, plus ou moins réalistes, s’apparentent à une hybridation entre le corps humain et l’objet. Le sculpteur y intègre les notions de corps, de mouvement et de vie humaine. Elle laisse entrevoir un vide sur chacune de ses œuvres.
Semblables aux découpes des momies de l’Egypte Antique.
Les corps partagés entre le mouvement et le vide ont tout l’air d’être à moitié ensevelis. Pour Isabel MIRAMONTES la sculpture n’est pas un bloc de matière auquel on donne une forme, mais plutôt un vide auquel l’artiste donne une surface. Ses corps découpés en lanières saisissent un mouvement, un sentiment. Tout en respectant les canons anatomiques, font entrer une autre dimension dans l’œuvre d’art : le sensible.

Les œuvres d’Isabel MIRAMONTES sont collectionnées et présentées à travers le monde. Elles sont notamment visibles dans certains des plus beaux hôtels, tels que le Ritz-Carlton à Dubaï.
Le travail de l’artiste est exposé en permanence à la Galerie MANER de Pont-Aven, où vous pouvez découvrir ses œuvres toute l’année.

Paola
Paola is an Italian sculptor born in Rome in 1968. Her passion for art comes from her grand-father who was a renown painter and sculptor. Following a brillant degree in Litterature, she starts working in journalism but continue sculpting.
Recognized artist in Italy and abroad, Paola has been awarded many times in Italy and Spain. You can now find her work in Marciano’s galleries. She draws her inspiration from litterature and human nature, its dreams and ambitions, its fears and nightmares. A hand, a face, a nose emerge from those bronze pages, with indecipherable writing. Are they here to break the mystery of the story, to challenge the truth or keep a secret?

GRIZI Paolaest une artiste italienne
GRIZI Paola est Née à Rome en 1968. Sa passion pour l’art vient de son grand-père, un célèbre peintre et sculpteur. Ainsi, après de brillantes études en littérature, elle commence une carrière dans le journalisme tout en continuant à sculpter.
La passion de l’écriture de GRIZI Paola
GRIZI Paola n’aura de cesse de l’habiterait de se mêler au bronze qu’elle travaille avec un talent incomparable. Ici, les lettres et la nature humaine s’entremêlent, se confondent. Par ses bronzes, Paola nous livre ses rêves et ses ambitions, ses peurs et ses cauchemars. Une main, un visage, un nez émergent de ces pages aux caractères indéchiffrables. Sont-ils là pour briser le mystère de l’histoire, pour interpeller les vérités ou garder un secret?
Elle est reconnue en Italie mais aussi à l’international. Et ses œuvres se trouvent à présent chez les galeries Marciano. Paola a reçu de nombreux prix en Italie mais aussi en Espagne notamment. La littérature ne l’aura donc ainsi jamais quitté. De prélude en fugue, elle puise son inspiration dans la littérature et la nature humaine, ses rêves et ambitions, ses peurs ainsi que ses cauchemars. Raoul P. Brosseau

Raoul P. Brosseau is a Breton painter. Based in Nantes, Raoul P. Brosseau has always painted. After classes in drawing, modeling and a short stint at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nantes, he expresses himself through his brushes but his creative drive goes beyond the pictorial expression since he plays the ukulele and sings in a group, writes news and chronicles. But above all, he prefers the experimentation of different techniques via acrylic painting and this in the solitude of his studio. "When I'm facing my easel, nothing else exists, except this face to face with my characters, mirrors of introspection and expression of the feeling of the moment. " Raoul P. Brosseau then tells the contradiction or the complementary character of being imbued with gentleness but against a backdrop of hardness. To love the company of others and to flee it if possible. Say the truth but wear a mask, a disguise sometimes as a lie. "Faced with all this, humor is an important part of my personality and I like it from my work. It is for me an essential element that makes life easier and erases the vanity of existence. Jorge was born in Alcoy, Spain. His family escaped Francoist Spain and settled down in Paris in 1963. Since an early age, he has shown his passion for drawing and painting. A paint brush in his hand, he spends hours practicing drawing, painting and sketching. His hard work paid off and Jorge became a full time artist in his 30’s. Self taught, he found inspiration in the Art of Picasso, Miro, Cezanne and Matisse … He researches their works trying to find his own style made of vibrant colors that reflect a man’s life, passion and emotions. Colomina painting style can be described as “Figurative Abstraction”.

Miramontes was born in Santiago de Compostella (Spain). This eminent place of pilgrimage, which is of Celtic origin, still fascinates her and remains for her a magical area. But it was in Belgium, in Brussels, that the artist grew up and did her studies, obtaining a teaching diploma in Fine Arts at the Institut Sainte Marie. She continued her training at the Fine Arts Academy of Saint-Gilles, in Patrick Pouillart’s studio, where she acquired a solid experience of drawing and sketching from live models. She retained from this experience the need to fix at any moment the human body’s movements, poses and impressions, jotting them down in numerous sketchpads. These are the many testimonies of the subtle and discerning eye she casts around her. She also followed the courses of the art historian Gastón Fernandez, who marked her artistic, rigorous yet generous reflection, always enlivened by an expansive open-mindedness. It was in a sculptor friend’s studio, that she made her passionate discovery of sculpture. This became her preferred mode of expression, to which she has devoted herself ever since.
Every day, Isabel Miramontes shuts herself up in her studio. There, echoing her sketches, she fervently fashions the clay, explores new shapes to give body to her interior life and convey her vision of the world. Struck by a silhouette, a movement, a symbol, a thought, Isabel Miramontes translates the human pose with profound and sincere emotion. The visual language of Isabel Miramontes steadfastly represents the human being in all the ambiguity of its power and frailty, its confinement and yearning for liberty, its dreams and triumphs. This fascinating figure, the synthesis of forms and thoughts, expresses the reality of life with its moments of joy, but also drama, abandon and tension. The Artist
Born in Paris in 1958, HERVE Edouard lives in the center of Brittany where he works. Autodidact member of the french association « Sculpteurs de Bretagne », he first devoted himself to painting, then for a dozen years, discovered sculpture. He will try to tame the wood, stone and clay in a figurative work. Then completely change course by discovering the plaster, which will be the material he chooses, with which he will be able to express himself and reach his full potential.
His work aims very clean. It is the constant search for balance, imbalance, asymmetry lines. By judicious mix of lines, he managed to put space dizziness in his works. The subtle curves and edges transmits a certain energy. The light reflecting on the piece allows us multiple perceptions. His works seem weightless.
Exhibitions
Edouard HERVE displays his beautiful work in France and Europe. Well known for his abstract style into bronze, his wonderful sculptures are displayed permanently at Maner Art Gallery from winter 2017.

After having graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Arts in Paris, Micha Tauber subsequently studied at the Atelier National d’Art Textile.
Since 1993, the artist has exhibited at many contemporary art shows and European galleries in Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, London, Barcelona and Frankfurt.
If there is one term that best defines the artist’s approach, it is the word timeless, which opens onto an imaginary world based on a universe of dreams, a world in which all is sensuality, magic, fairy tales… Micha Tauber’s work beckons us with escapism, journeys into the unconscious or our memory, journeys through distant or imaginary civilizations.
We discover reliefs, collages, inclusions which cut into matter. We ponder those rock fragments, a fulcrum which installs abstract shapes and volumes that will evolve toward a united whole.
Micha Tauber’s painting then becomes a more poetic reality… We try to search back into our memories to attempt to find ethnic origins, an influence… in vain. The captivating mystery in her works remains intact.

ELEONORE BERNAIR :
Eléonore BERNAIR : sa formation artistique et son parcours
Eléonore BERNAIR est née le 18 juin 1966 en Belgique. Elle a commencé son cursus artistique en 1981 par des cours d’art visuels appliqués à l’Institut St Luc. Ensuite, elle a suivi des cours du soir de sculpture à l’Académie de St Gilles.
Entre 1988 et 1989, Eléonore a travaillé à la restauration des sculptures de l’Académie de St Gilles pour le Ministère de l’Education tout en suivant des cours du soir à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts du Midi.
En 1992-1993, elle a suivi des cours en atelier de dessin d’après modèle vivant à Paris (St Germain). Puis, à partir de 2002, elle a suivi des cours sur le romantisme en peinture à l’Université des Aînés de Louvain-la-Neuve.
Son cheminement artistique : Ses paysages marins
C’est finalement dans l’élément liquide qu’elle trouve son mode d’expression privilégié. Ses voyages en Bretagne, dans le sud de la France, en Espagne et aux Baléares lui inspirent ses fameux paysages marins. Ce thème la berce et nourrit sa créativité depuis plus de quinze ans.
Son style artistique : le réalisme optique en peinture
Bernair offre sa réalité. En l’espace d’un instant, une force magnétique nous catapulte à l’intérieur des paysages marins de l’artiste. Une atmosphère surnaturelle apparait, profondément ancrée dans chaque partie de l’oeuvre.
Eléonore fait partie de ces artistes qui luttent pour le réalisme optique par une saisie précise de la nature. Pour elle, le réalisme doit répondre à certaines exigences de connaissances accumulées par des années d’observation et de pratique. Il doit rendre compte du détail de la partie finie de la scène, ainsi que de la profondeur et de l’expansion infinie. La composition de chaque tableau est soumise à une analyse visuelle minutieuse, renforçant le drame ou la paix, la douceur ou la rugosité, et aboutissant à un incident visuel ou le vide. Son souhait est que vous vous joigniez à elle, que vous plongiez, que vous vous enfonciez à l’infini dans la profondeur de la mer, nuancée et sans limites, comme elle le fait lorsque qu’elle travaille.

Exhibitions
For more then ten years, Eléonore BERNAIR has displayed her work in many Art Galleries around the word. She displays her paintings as permanent artist at Maner’s Art Gallery since Spring 2017. On September 2017, Eléonore BERNAIR came for a special exhibition and live painting session at the gallery in Pont-Aven. Then on April 2018 she came back to Brittany and made a live performance in front on the see in Concarneau, before the departure of the AG2R race linking Brittany to Saint-Barthelemy in Caribbeans.
