BIOGRAPHIE
The Artist
Alain Bonnec, born in 1952 and his younger brother, Daniel, born in 1962, have been creating art together for over thirty years. Recognized for their charming images, the Bonnec brothers display their works throughout Europe, Japan and the United States.
“The BONNEC Brothers are a four-handed duo of colours, of poetry perfumed with a certain surrealistic humour mixing tenderness with anachronism.
Under this apparent display of tenderness, there is a complete philosophy of the world… “Art is a game, too bad for those who consider it a duty!” The Bonnec Brothers are close to the part of life where dreams, game and poetry.”
Exhibitions
In France, the Bonnec Brothers art is on permanent display in Paris at the Musée de la Monnaie de Paris, in addition to other modern art museums, and the museum of art at Rennes. The Bonnecs have also been commissioned to create works for large Japanese corporations like Sony Music, Sumitomo and department stores like Sogo Isetan and Mitsukoshi.
In addition, the Bonnec brothers have contributed their talents to such philanthropic organizations as the North American and European branches of UNICEF and Natural Conservancy, an organization that helps preserve our environment.
